…who’s Henry?
Henry Fernau is a New York State-based artist. He holds a BFA in Cartooning from the School of Visual Arts and studied under the mentorship of Gary Panter (Pee-Wee’s Playhouse, RAW Magazine) and Tom Hart (Sequential Artist’s Workshop founder) among other notable creatives. He has interned with MARVEL Comics in Manhattan and worked as an assistant to several New York based independent craftspeople, artists and performers doing everything from the manufacture of wooden mobiles, decorative tile production and performative food art.
His work has been featured in the local arts magazine HYPERSATURATION and exhibits semi-regularly in the Capital Region area of New York state.
In 2023 he completed his first full-length graphic novel “Vessel” after two years of production.
